The secret is inside the chair.” The Foof Chair is filled with soft, pillow-like shredded foam. This patented urethane foam filling engulfs you in a soothing cushion of foam while providing ample support for young and old alike. This soft, long-lasting material does not break down over time, as polystyrene "beans" do, but can be "re-foofed" again and again to get that brand new, sinking-in feeling every time.
The traditional bean bag is filled with poly- styrene beads (similar to a foam cup). These are small round bb shaped beads. They do not give very much when you sit on them and have to be replaced every year or so because they flatten out over time. The Foof chair is more relaxing to sit in because there are no pressure points or hard edges.

Yes they certainly are, kids love them. The Foof chair is made with a safe double zipper design to keep curious children from getting into them. As an additional safety measure the Foof Chairs come with their zipper tabs removed. (To use the zipper it’s easy; just use an unbent paper clip as the zipper tab.)

A liner is basically a fabric inner bag within the outer cover that holds the bean bag chair filling in the event that you want to take the outer cover off and wash it.

We do offer an optional liner and recommend that you purchase a liner so that you can wash the cover in case of accidents. (Especially if you have pets and/or small children.)
è Can I wash the Foof Chair?
Yes if you order the optional liner you can wash the Foof cover according to the directions on the tab. Otherwise you can spot clean the material.
è What if I don’t order a liner, can I still clean the chair?
Yes, all the chairs can be spot cleaned with any quality upholstery cleaner. Their fabrics are stain-resistant however if you have pets or children an inner liner is recommended.
è What is the Warranty on the Foof Chair?
The Foof Chair is backed by a 1 year warranty against rips and tears in the seams and/or zippers. They are built to last a lifetime.
è How is the Foof Chair Shipped?
In order to save on shipping costs your Foof Chair is vacuum packed to decrease the size of the chair by over 30%. When you receive your Foof Chair you need to take it out of the box and let it “air” out for a couple of days to “re-Foof” the pillow foam. If you have ordered an optional liner the cover is shipped separately. You need to put the cover on immediately after opening the box, before the chair “foofs” up. Once the cover is on you can let it foof up to its full size. (If the chair is a present we recommend you letting it “foof” up before giving the present. It makes more of an impression.)
è How long will it take to get my Foof?
Foof Chairs are predominantly custom manufactured when you order them. This takes 1 -2 weeks plus transit time to your door. We do offer a limited number of Foof Chairs in our Quick Ship area which ship out in only 3-4 business days.
è Why do you only offer ground shipping?
The Foof Chairs are light yet relatively large in the box. UPS and Federal Express charge a premium for this. To ship via Air would cost over $100 per chair.
è Why don’t you ship to APO/FPO or Hawaii or Alaska?
The Foof Chairs are light yet relatively large in the box. UPS and Federal Express do not ship to APO/FPO. The US Post Office will not ship our boxes due to their large size. Shipping costs to Hawaii and Alaska are prohibitively expensive (over $100 per chair).
è What is the difference between a Foof Chair and a Love Sac?
Comfort Research actually holds the patent on the design of the modern bean bag chair which the Love Sac is patterned after. The Foof Chair is basically the same chair as the Love Sac. Both manufacturers purchase their fabrics and filling from the same resources. Other than some minor cosmetic differences they are the same chair and are both quality chairs. There is one difference the Foof Chair is nearly half the price of a Love Sac.
